WHO WE ARE

Bruce A Magruder

Bruce has worked in the electric utility sector for over thirty years. In that time, he founded a metering services company serving utility clients in five states. Additionally, Bruce led business development and client management for renewable energy projects at a southeastern U.S. engineering consulting firm.  Bruce has been involved with over a gigawatt of utility scale solar projects from 1 MW to 300 MW. Most recently, he lead business development and customer relationship management for KeyTech. In that capacity, Bruce brought together utilities, solar developers, and EPC firms to engineer innovative, mutually beneficial solutions for renewable energy projects.

Bruce is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and former Chair the Charlotte Section. He is also active in the IEEE Power System Relay Committee, where he leads several working groups, including the Integration of Renewable Energy into the Transmission and Distribution Grids Subcommittee.

Bruce graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. in Engineering Analysis and Design.

Bruce Fowler

 Bruce brings from his long tenure with the former Fowler and Associates a vast knowledge of municipal and industrial operations – including finance, design, and build. He has educated and supported both elected officials and civil staff for planning and executing emergency and normal operations, as well as rate studies, regulatory advisement, citizen liaison and capital improvements recommendations. Bruce is a subject matter expert in electric utility software and electrical codes (NEC and NESC).  Bruce is acknowledgeable in the both AC and DC design and code requirements for renewable energy from rooftop solar to large 100+ MW utility scale projects.  Bruce is experienced in transmission line and substation design.
